what and where is the clamshell located on a 95 hardbody xe

I need to replace the heater control lamps in my 95 hardbody pickup.Reverend d21 states in his instructions about this topic that the clamshell must be removed.I am ignorant Where is the clamshell located and how do you remove it?

It has to be the radio / HVAC surround bezel.
Remove 2 screws from the top, the ashtray, then the rest is clips.

2 screws on top and bottom top under lip by ac controls bottom 2 under lip on bottom below radio.

Thanks,for your responce.A neighbor who also has this same pickup installed the lamp in the heater ac control using a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers.The space is very limited so getting the lamp socket in place is a major job.The pliers were bought at Hobby Lobby.

Once bezel is removed pop out the AC heater control panel for easier access it just clips in

Just to wrap this up, when I talked about the clam shell I was talking about the two plastic covers on the steering column between the steering wheel and the dash board. You don't need to remove the clam shell to do the HVAC lights but you will need to if you replace your gauge lights.
