No fluid touching the dip stick, need to know what to add.

Also is there an o2 sensor in here somewhere, and if so where's it at from my finger. I have a check engine light on, and am trying to get the fluids and some of the sensors replaced before I take it somewhere, this is a 96 pathfinder, had been sitting up 2yrs or so.

I have an automatic QX4, 2000, and that is the power steering fluid. I just topped it up. Mine was low as well.

Well it's a 96 manual and 2 different answers still I want to say clutch fluid also, but clutch and steering look a lot a like. I will look and see if I can find a steering fluid canister.

You are correct, the power steering reservoir, I hope he didnt put brake fluid in there. you should be able to look off the canister and see the lines that connect it to the power steering pump. As for your 02 sensors(yes plural) they are located on the underside in the manifold and in the exhaust pipe itself.

If your clutch slave cylinder is working properly, do not mess with it. Common mistakes are when people throw brake fluid, antifreeze, and transmission fluid in without finding out why it is low.

Brakes are a closed system, the fluid gets low, you need new brake pads/shoes, or you have a leak in the system. Antifreeze is a semi-closed system, if you are adding coolant/water daily, weekly, or even monthly, there is a problem.Transmission is the same way. Find out why you are low, not just that you are low.

it is for power steering. You may add any ATF (red colored) fluid, if it is missing. White square canister, behind the powersteering canister, is for brakes. For manual clutch equipped ones, the canister shape is different. it is cylindrical.
