i ordered a new clip to be used in the engine compartment, that holds down the hood support rod when not in use..got to be a simple little plastic clip latchy thingy. the part i got looks like this: [IMG][/IMG] but how does that part fit in this hole..?? thinking it's not the right part..and you can see int he pic where the rod has rubbed off paint without a clip to hold it: [IMG][/IMG]

also, thinking the cargo net might be for a different model? seems big..here it is attached by only three rings. one of them doesn't seem to wanna go back into the hole..hole looks/feels like bare metal. is there supposed to be a receiving clip in the hole that this ring should pop into? pics: [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] thanks!

The top picture looks like a wiring harness, definitely not what you are looking for.

The cargo net may be from a sedan, or it just may not be put in correctly. You should have 4 d-rings to attach it to in the trunk. The piece you showed should just pop into the hole so it's probably broken.

thanks. yeah, no way that part holds the hood support bar..think i'll be taking it back to the dealer. is the cargo net from a sedan larger than a coupe's? mine does use the 4 d-rings..the one pictured isn't broken, but i'm guessing that a clip is actually missing that it should snap into in the trunk body.

anybody have a pic of what the clip that holds down the hood support rod should look like? or can confirm that it's absolutely not the part i have pictured?
