thats a myth. the only twin setup that gives you more response is a sequential twin setup, and the 26 is not. half of the exhaust spooling turbos that can produce half the power, plus you add in your piping loss, and you are slightly worse off than a single. the truth is you can make good useable power with either a twin or single setup. i highly doubt the allegedy great response of the 26 is because of the twins, and more b/c of the itbs. the reason people say the car loses response after going single is b/c they step up to a huge turbo. if you got two big twins you would feel the same effect. its all about turbo choice, not single or twin. running twins does have that coolness factor though, but it is not advantageous. if you look at all the racing skylines, drag or road race, its really a toss up between twin or single.

Keep two turbos on that motor, it will be more responsive and you will have a better power band. People seem to not understand that. If you want more power, upgrade the those turbos at the same time. Dont ever go single turbo on an RB26DETT unless your going anywhere other than straight, even then, the fast RB motors utilize twins anyways.
