I found this 99Q....

(alternate link to image http://tinyurl.com/5npk8p)

in this listing in AutoTrader...

http://tinyurl.com/68q3vx

I keep hitting the "Save This Car" button, expecting that the button will cause someone to come along and remove the paint, and the tint, and those rims...but it's still purple.

Should I be holding down CNTL or SHFT when I click the "Save this car" button?

Thanks in advance!

Oh man what a way to mess up the ride..... Some people don't have shame at all! I bet besides the nasty floaters he hasn't even changed the air filter for once.

that q is not vip styled. thats "donk" which is considered vip's archenemy by most vip enthusiasts.

post it over there, call it vip, and see the reactions. i dare you.

Gee, and I always thought that functional superior dynamic performance was the VIP antithesis.

Not worthwhile to argue which is dumber or dumbest.

I'm not familiar with "VIP" or "Donk"...the word that came to mind when I saw that photo was "Quthanasia", as in

"I rarely advocate this, but I think that that car should be Quthanized to end its suffering. It clearly no longer has any meaningful quality of life"

(Alternate spelling - "Q-thanasia")

Living in a city where dubs are slapped on just about ANYTHING with 4 wheels, I'd be willing to bet there is an external speaker tucked somewhere under the front or rear bumper so everyone on the "SKREET" can enjoy what's being played by the driver....in mono of course. I'normally REALLY un-PC with my sense of humor, but I can't even come up with something witty to say about this Q. What a D%$#@bag. Someone please give that owner a physics book and a tall glass of couth (or the pronunciation is KOOF with a mouf full of platinum)...

Practiced by SPAQ as a last resort.

Society for the Prevention of Abuse of Q45s. Kind of anti VIP, Donk, anything stupid including non maintenance.

Ah, yes; the subtle delights of someone's jack-asinine ultra low fidelity boom car sound system.

My experience has been that there are only two good countermeasures to the boom car:

The first works best if the driver of the offending vehicle is alone in the car: laugh uproariously at their car whilst pointing and guffawing. (Nota Bene - if there is more than just the driver in the car, and you are a pedestrian, you'd better be ready to run.)

Second - while it involves sinking to the miscreant's level and might require some expenditure on speakers: Books On Tape. Serious, weighty, Books on Tape (or CD). Audiobooks...with lots and lots of bass. And I'll cut right to the chase and say nothing is better than this:

Yup - you drift up to them at the stop light, turn your stereo up to eleven, and hit "play" on the philosopher Spinoza, as read by...Charleton Heston. (And if you can lip-synch some of the text...and maybe dance in place in your driver's seat...well, that's just icing on the cake.)

I'm just sayin'

One of the greatest paradoxes I've ever been a part of was my latin arse pulling up to a red light YEARS ago in my near mint black '88 Scirocco 16v blaring Nine Inch Nails March of the Pigs next to a candy red prelude with little gold wheels extended past the wheel arches and 2 latin guys blaring salsa or merengue like the sky was falling. Like something out of a movie I could not stop laughing. I've since had the same experience in my VERY bone stock Q but this time it was next to a smug prick yuppie couple in a benzie...Vivaldi cranks just as good as Front 242 in my Q

9.5 on the front won't begin to work without major fender modification.

yeah you couldnt run a 9.5 in the front without some *extremely unsafe* stretched tiny tires or they were sticking way out low rider style...

Either way, not a good idea IMHO, but to each their own.

the y33 Q has large wheel wells and can easily take a 9.5 wide wheel in front, without that much of a stretched tire (granted, you do have to make some concessions to fitment) AND without low-rider/euro-vw style poke.
