Being blunt here, buy a 2008/09. Besides new hood, fenders, lights, and grill there are numerous points where screws go that are different. Sorry, I know of no one that has tried.

Hood, headlights, fenders, and bumper cover are different.

However I doubt Nissan changed anything underneath, like the the radiator support and brackets.

Only way to find out is to find someone with a 2008-09 front end, in your same color, and try swapping.

i would think some things are different, like the mounting brackets for the headlights since those are different. just my guess.

if you want to change the front end, you'll need a jigsaw and a lot of bondo.

I think this is the first time that I've seen someone of a 2010+ want to go to an 08/09 style, heh.

I've always chosen my 08 style over the newer model and I'm sure many others :slap:

I love everything about the 2010+ styling EXCEPT for the headlights and their nasty bump... It's so awkward.

The 1st Gen. styling does attract more praises, but ...

as far as we know, there is a 3rd Gen being made available for 2013 models, and the downgrade will only negatively affect the apparent value of your vehicle

I'm not sure if that's the fiberglass one, however, the car does look meaner. Not saying that this model needs it but yea..I kinda like it. I think it would look better on black.

yea the headlights on our model are kinda weird but i guess you gotta weigh that against having projectors, unlike the 08 and 09. if its the headlights you just dont like, youre waisting your money. spend it on something else

can u elaborate on that please. im looking into getting a new coupe, i kinda agree that the headlights do look a little weird, but maybe just cuz i was used to my 08 coupe, also i think the eye lids on the 08-09 make it look more aggressive, rather than the eyelids on the 10+
i do like the fact that the 10+ have projectors, are the projectors stock on all models or just like 3.5s?

I agree. I had the 08, and the front lights looked more agressive with out the bump. but when your flying on the highway, the wind noise is sooooo much better. that bump re-directs the air, and it no longer get's caught in the hood gaps by the window wippers. i think i's a good trade off. + projectors!!!!

1st I wish you luck on this project. Sounds like in may end up being complicated.

2nd The huge hump in the 2010+ light was put there by designers for one reason and one reason only. Not for aesthetics of the Altima line but, to blend/match the other models in the nissan line up(I belive almost every other model started having the light humps that year) It did't matter that it messed up the flow on the A/C's. When they take there pics of there model line up, it looks pretty that all the cars, trucks, minivans, crossovers ect ect all have similarlaritys in the front end. They could have left it be and just installed projectors. Looks like they may do it for 2013....

And you can see in my sig, eyelids on the 08'-09' lights looks sicknasty.

Exactly! Maxima and the 370 have those boomerang style looking headlights while the 2010+ ACs share headlights style with the ugly a** Juke

Juke = lol

But the maxima AND the 370z's headlights BOTH have humps too. They are not as profound as the juke and A/C And they blend better, but if your anywhere close to the car you can see it.
Proof: 370z headlight

It's not as huge as the Juke and A/C but it does nothing but raise the drag coeffecient and lower the efficiency. A small tiny maybe, but some here try to sqeeze 1 extra HP out if we can. We are FWD and could use some extra downforce in the front, but that is not what or how these humps were designed for. It's a looks only mod Nissan made for there whole line.

I dont like that. Why cant cars just keep their headlights flushed flushed to the hood? Cars are adding this bumps like the new Accord and the camry. it looks like s***.
