I recently rebuilt a DE for my hatch. I removed the EGR and the BPT valves. I made some block off plates out of some 1/4" aluminum plate I had laying around. I also eliminated the air tubes (EGR bypass tube and the AIV tube) that bolt into the header.Keep track of the vacuum lines so as to know which ones to cap and which ones to keep pressurized. The engine runs and idles great, and not throwing any codes. At some point I will pick up a second intake manifold and do a proper shaving and welding of unused vacuum and water ports. Maybe even do some wire tucking at that point also.

If you do not have to worry about emissions! I removed the charcole canister The EGR block off plates The air box was ripped up just leave the bracket cause it is your factory SMIC for the SR and CA bracket. I did a test pipe as well

thats the vent line that come up from your gas tank. some people say cap it some say vent it . Personally i ran a line down under my car to let it vent the fumes away from my engine bay.

Yeah, remove that plate on the back of the head that has those 2 plugs. Remove the EGR and the UFO thing attached to it, etc. remove all vacuum hoses but make sure you've got a vac. hose coming off the bottom of the manifold to the fuel pressure regulator, or else it won't run. The other Idle control thing you actually don't even interfere with in the whole process so no worries. I've got some pics, I just need to download them to the comp, I will 2morrow if you want.

Oh, there's a OEM Nissan plug for the EGR and aicv or w/e it was. A heck of a lot better than JB Weld lol sounds like a shotgun when you blow the gob of JB out
