For those that have raced/auto-x'ed their 240 extensively, what alignment setup has been most successful for you? Obviously alignment plays a big part in how well a car handles, or doesn't handle. I want to get various opinions on this before I set mine up.

New S-Techs are going in tomorrow along with new tie rod ends and Project Mu brake pads.

Caster F: 7.0 degs. Camber F: - 2.5 deg. Toe F: 0.00 deg. Camber R: - 2.0 deg. Toe R: 0.00 deg.

Good street alignment for a setup like that.

Hmmm, looks like I'm going to need some camber plates in front and some SPL adjustable upper arms in the rear, no? I wonder how much negative camber I'll pick up with the S Techs.

Any idea how that particular alignment would affect tire wear? I have a staggered setup and would like for my tires to last as long as possible

It won't be that bad.

I'd just get the springs and zero out the toe with an alignment.

Your tires are going to wear on the inside edge a little, off wheel rotations are your friend!!!

I run a similiar setup

caster 7.5F camber -2.8F toe slightly incamber -2R toe slightly out

since i switched from vlsd to 2-way I am changing to 0 toe rear. I also noticed an improvement in front tire wear with the front toe in comapred to 0 with the same camber.

Well, due to outside factors I was only able to get one spring installed yesterday. Time hacks are a ***** and I never seem to have enough time to get my projects done. The one I did get installed sits much nicer than the rest, and I suppose it will be even lower when I get the rest done. Can't wait til Tuesday!

I left the 240 at my dad's place (where the air tools are ) and drove his Q home. Much love for the Q!

Nismo-freak- havent had the car corner weighted yet, next alignment. My new sponsor has a set of scales so we will be adjusting the pre-loads and re-aligning the car sometime in next couple months.

Word to the wise: Dont copy a setup, every car and driving style will benifit most from its own unique alignment.

Use previous examples as a starting point and go to a track tuning sesion with the local SCCA club.

Also, for those who daily drive there car on one setting add negative camber to the front when they are at the track: remember that doing this adds toe in which is absolutely terrible for steering response and braking.
