Not really sure on the physics of it, but personally if I were going 150mph, I'd want all four wheels firmly planted on the ground. Anyway, the point with that wing is whatever minimal benefit it provides, it's at speeds so ridiculously high as to not justify the weight. Granted, the SRT-4 has almost more power than the front wheels can handle, so a little extra weight doesn't hurt.
Edit: I like the gigantic wing on the Plymouth Superbird too. I guess the general rule for me is that you can have the biggest wing in the world, your car just has to be fast enough to back it up.
It's quite telling that a lot of the SRT-4 guys are swapping wings with the owners of SXT neons AND getting some cash in the deal. The SXT wing is much more subtle.
Having sat in an SRT-4, that damn wing really impedes the drivers vision out the rear window.
Edit: I like the wing on the Plymouth Superbird too. I guess the my general rule of thumb is that if your car is fast enough, it doesn't matter how big the wing is.
