i got my motor on the engine stand today and started tearing it down.i pulled the intake manifold of and looked at the inside where the valves are and number 2,3,6,7 had oil on them real bad.so what do you think is causeing this. valve oil seal? going to take the exhaust manifold off in the morning to look at that side.

Bad turbo? CA valve seals rarely go bad to the point whereas they leak so obviously, but it too is not impossible.

Bad piston ring or bad turbo seal. My vote is rings. Pretty common on the CA. Old motors.

i do have bad compression i thought it was the rings.and when took the output tube of the turbo going to the intake mani. it had some oil in it.so i guess its the turbo.and is there a way to check the valve guides and seals to make sure there ok .i want to make sure i fix anything thats worng with the motor since i got it out and putting new rings in.and you think i need to take the valves that have the oil on them out and clean them our you think i can do it why they are in place

this is the list of parts im going to put back on new.
