I have a 03 M45 with 52k. I brought it to the dealer the other day to get the fuel gauge and trunk latch problem fixed and they said my factory warrant runs out on 9/16/07. If I had to pay for these repairs it would have cost me about $1000.
How much and how long do extended warranties from the dealer go for?
Has anyone had any good or bad expieriences with purchasing or filing a claim with an extended warranty?
Do you have any advise?
What about an extended warranty? (2003 Infiniti M45)

I love my extended warranty, and you're RIGHT at the right time to get it.
DON'T buy it from the dealer, you'll just pay twice as much.

There's where I got mine, and I still go to the dealer as before, get the same good treatment, no waiting, no cash out of pocket, no claim filing - the dealer does EVERYTHING.
I spent around $1500, it's money well-spent.
You can even stretch payments (no interest) over 12 months. Can't beat that!!!

Actually,I purchased a factory bumper to bumper extended warranty extension for $1500 for a 3 Yr / 48 K mile term!!!! This is the "Elite" warranty from Infiniti.
I called several dealers and received several quotes all the way up to $2300 for the same warranty. I told one of the finance managers that a competitor had the same warranty for a certain amount and gave the finance mgr name and dealer etc, and he then turned around and offered it for less. I was able to get the warranty down to $1500!.
My vehicle had 37K miles on it when I purchased the warranty extension.Buy from the dealer, stay away from aftermarket companies except Warranty Direct, but they are expensive.

AAA has a top of the line extended warranty. Bumper to bumber 4 years to 100K mi. for $1830 or 5 yr 100K for $1996.

Mine covers everything the factory warranty covers (and more) for about half the $$$ the dealer wanted to charge me.
The warranty on my Q cost me $1300. At the end of it, I had $6500 in repairs, all covered.
