just out of curiosity...if anyone's done one...i'm sure there's custom piping to be made...i'm just wondering if the work to swap it is worth it...is it thicker, wider, taller, a better core? or would i just be better off trying to find an arc or just put in an xs power fmic...or maybe a factory conquest tsi fmic...little help...just looking for the best bang for the buck...thanks

I've got an ARC smic and even though I've only driven the car a little bit. the hot pipe was pretty warm to the touch while the cold pipe was still as if it hadn't even been ran. This is a completely stock set-up minus full 3in. exhaust and a real HKS filter. Also the intercooler itself was still cool.

s15 is a GREAT budget intercooler. Its almost as big as an ARC, its generally cheaper, and if you use s13 SR20 pipes that bold onto the core it fits right in your s13 with the CA piping. If I was running a stock turbo with upped boost I would run an s15 side mount. BEEFY intercooler for cheap.
