My dealer sent my the title to the car so I noted down where the car was originally bought from.

Sewell infiniti of dallas.

I had called three dealers trying to find my history, but they could not access it for some reason.

Anyhow, I called sewell and he told me I had to physically bring my car in to get the history. So I ask him to check so that if he had it, I could drive down there.

He checked, and he had the history. I said thanks"I'll come down there and get it. But one last thing if you dont mind. Can you check to see if the chain guides have been replaced?"

silencethen keystrokes

suddnely, over the phone

"YES, THEY"VE BEEN REPLACED"

My darn chain guides have been replaced. You guys cant imagine how happy I am. I totally makes spending thnksgiving alone in a deserted dorm building worth it.

You poor soul! Hey if I lived in Arkansas, you'd be welcomed to come over at stuff your face full of turkey, mashed potatos and.....uh...salty fried squid. :D

it's only 350 miles to dallas, depending on where you are. i bought my car from a place 40 miles away, and when i was at my local dealer, which is 5 miles away, they gave me the service records because they originally sold the car. it's pretty funny because there's things like customer complains of squeak in suspension, took for test drive, could not duplicate.

yep I am happy. I am going to drive to dallas on saturday if they will be open.

When I get there I will find out if they used the updated guides or if they used the regular ones. I hope they used the new style ones.

If they replaced the guides they will have used the new ones unless it was an funusual job done a while ago, but word really has been out only in the last a few years among even enthusiasts such as ourselves.

The new part# for the new design guides was out 7/92...
