Yes, we got the maxi running!

When we were taking the gas tank off we broke one of the bolts on the exauhst so it sounds really loud. But now it finally works after all the work we have put into it.

Even though it works, it still isnt drivable, we still need to get the transmission and put it on. We have somthing worked out with a junk yard, should be getting it soon.

My mom knows a guy (used to be a neighbor) who owns a body shop, so I'm going to talk to him and maybe he can give me a deal on painting it (maybe if I do all the work, like sanding and stuff). The color I'm thinking about is pearl white. Im really excited about this car :D

We got a spoiler from an 87 maxima btw (same one i got a fuel pump from.)

That's awesome man! I am excited you got it running and are so anxious about the future plans of the car. Good luck and keep going! This is good stuff!

Although I don't like that generation of Maxima, I think it's great you are modding it and got it running

If a Maxima is running (without a leaky exhaust) in the woods and no one is around, does it really make a sound? lol

whats wrong with the color of it now? looks fine to me. pearl white might not be too bad. just dont paint it maroon. I think that was the worst color that was available for that car.

lol i agree the car we took the fuel pump was maroon.

But you cant tell from the pics, the body is in bad need of re painting, its discolored slightly on the hood, got some rust spots, scratches, chips

Since I can get it done cheap, ill take advantage of it :)

I strongly recommend pearl white. On boxy cars, its just beautiful, like the early Q45, the Ford Explorer, 86-95 Mercedes 300/E-class, and of course the Maxima.

Youre getting my CD changer and your stepdad's amps and subs, so youre set for a sound system, and we jacked a spoiler off that abandoned 87 Max.

Fresh paint would kick butt, and maybe have the leather smoothed out and resewn.
