This lady had an ad for a Mitsubishi Mighty Max.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...ist=6

I drove out there and arrived a couple minutes early, but she was ten minutes late. Her yard was covered in trash. There was a notice on her door from the city about her garbage problem. As I sat on her porch her neighbors kept asking me "What are you going to do about that garbage pile!" and I had to explain over and over that I was only there to buy a truck.

So she pulled up finally, in a black Chevy Cavalier, with half a fillet-o-fish in hand (I read the wrapper). She opened the garage and revealed this heap. I was fine with the physical condition. Its not like I needed a show car.

First of all, it WASNT RUNNING. How the FURK am I supposed to test drive it? She suggested that I buy a tire and battery. Well, okay, but who pays to tow it? And what the hell do I do with an extra battery and tire if I test drive it and dont like it? I dont care if theres a new carb and head... its DEAD! The filter and top cover are missing too; she said those were in the basement.

She then said "Oh you better decide quick, more people are coming to look!" Right, and more people are going to say "WTF, lady!" If the ad wasnt so misleading I might not be so annoyed. I've been sick for days and I was ready for bed. I only stayed awake so I could drive out and see her truck.

It might be worth $75. Then add $35 for a battery and $20 for a tire. But I was pissed. Needs plates, another $50.

I like it when people reference other threads, cause only those who really read will ever get the joke .

Is there any chance what you may be hauling can't get wet? You could end up spending as much for a camper shell as you do fo a truck, go wagon.

That's priceless, you have to see it to appreciate that it's a complete piece of CRAP .

Well, f*** the truck. I'll suck it up and pay the shipping fees. Now that this annoyance has past, I need to build some shelves to store inventory.

Me and a saw... sounds REAL safe.

Hilarious!

She's using high pressure sales tactics on some POS. That's great!

You can find an older hardbody or toyota pu in pretty good shape(relatively) for ~$1000
