I will say that I also have some surface rust on my '12 M56x, mainly on the frame work as you described. I bought mine used in 2015 with 52k miles. It spent that time in White Plains, NY so I guess I can understand why my car had the rust. Yeah the exhaust was also rusted but not all the way through. One of the first things I did was replace it anyway. I went back with a custom exhaust like Ilya suggested. Got rid of the Y-pipe/secondary cats and resonators to open it up and went with an X-pipe and sport mufflers. I primed and painted mine with VHT high temp ceramic spray paint before putting it on. Still looks great after 5 years. I haven't had any mechanical issues so far, I'm at 122k miles now.hsi88 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 7:11 pmThanks for the advice on exhausts. Going to put on a lift in the next couple of weeks to see what all needs replaced. Will also treat other frame rust while the car is in the air. Nissans have been rust buckets since the Datsun days. Almost famous for the rust. Would think they would follow the lead of Honda and Toyota on this. Early Hondas were rust buckets too. My '76 Civic and '79 Accord both rusted out. Never had an issue with Hondas after that. Thank God for rust converter! LOL
Same. The 460 has been my dreamcar for ages and now that the 500 is out I see one of two things happening:airmanhoward wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 10:00 amOne the LS500 is obtainable im switching to that. I love Infiniti also but they seem to be very lazy when it comes to tech.
