A few of you guys had said that taking off the front plate makes a big difference; I definitely like it. Illegal in NY though - hope I don't get a ticket I think the front looks better now, with the clear corners and clear fogs- I still want to paint the black piece back to gold, and add a mesh grille

It's totally legal here in FL. Hardly anyone has any kind of front plate, let alone liscence plate.

nah, not everywhere... but most states.

As for cooling... while I do think it "helps." I don't think it's all that much. You effectively have two radiators... one behind the top grill, and one lower and behind the first radiator. And MAN OH MAN, that bottom one can get covered up EASILY with debris.

I've been debating finding a way to cover the bottom with a grill or something, so debris won't go in there. A few months ago, I yanked out quite a bit of dead leaves.

Fueler: It's illegal in CA, but not enforced much. My '87 'vette has never had a frontplate on it. My late wife (it was her 'vette then) called the DMV and they toldher it wasn't being enforced because they were trying to go rear plate only. That was ca. 1997.
