Hi all!

This will be my first post in this forum.Im a swede, with a 200sx s14 -95.In i love it :)The thing is that im looking for some good lookin' 18" wheels for it. And i want them to be as wide as possible. So they kan grip better.Does Anyone have an idea what i should buy. I can spend about $2000 on them (including tires). But money is not really a problem.

Man... I wish I can say the same thing... :( But anyways, I presonally love the Advans. But if you like performance (weight), then Volks are ideal.

I know I'll get some argument here, but if you're looking to improve handling or "grip", 18's aren't gonna help.

Go with some sticky 245/45/16's on a set of 7" wide factory alloys and you'll have more TONS more "grip" than the geek with the 18's.

I don't know about the value of the $ where you're at, but $2000 won't get you a real well-manufactured set of lightweight 18's and quality tires.

If you insist on 18's, stick with a brand like OZ, Fittipaldi, Volk, Advan... I'm sure there are others.

I personally like 18"s too..just save for a little bit longer. Don't know how much money, but it shouldn't take you too much longer to save for 18". I don't know how old this post is, you've probably got some by now? If you have, you got any wheel scrubbing?

First thing first I gotta save up for is snow tires, after that I gotta replace my exhaust before people mistake my car for a big rusty lawnmower then I gotta find a cheap good set of 18"s.

What would you do about wheels scrubbing with any rims not the standard size for your car? Why couldn't you get them in 18" for your car? Are they not universal or whatever?

4 rims at $660 is CHEAP!!!!

A well made rim (one that is perfectly true, strong, and will not warp or bend upon MINOR impact) will cost you a minimum of $400 each.

Consider the price of a replacement factory 16" alloy rim from Nissan. Any less than that and you're getting CRAP quality. But I guess that doesn't matter, as long as you look cool, right?:rolleyes

cheap my *** :rolleyes

anyways get the tsw's i bought 18*8 tsw flys and i love them great traction with my yokohama paradas and almost no wheel spin at a 3000 rpm launch

just a warning watch the offset especially in front if you dont buy a matching set because there isnt a whole lot of extra space in front!i would buy a matching set so you can rotate them

Yeah I emailed the people at enjukuracing and they said anything 7.5" and below in the front should be fine, and to watch for offset, which they said 20mm offset would be fine...all this with low profile tire of course..they recommended 225/35 ZR 18 's. Later

Congrats - You can read. What'd you pay for your TSW's, smart a$$?

Again, 4 GOOD 18" rims at $660 is CHEAP.

255's fit nicely on 7" width rims, several of us have that size. Can't imagine you'd want to or need to go much wider on a 240.

I'll be buying a set of VOLK gram lights 17x17.5 in a 30mm offset.

running 225-45-17 fronts, 255-40-17 rears. as hitman is right, anything under about 250/rim is going to be absolute **** quality.

think about it. there are 3 major things a company can do with wheel material, etc:1. make it lighter2. make it stronger3. make it rounder

now, all those things require serious money, and better materials to upgrade. economics willt ell you, a company making a true(round), strong, lightweight wheel isnt going to be one that you can get for less than I'd say..300 dollars in a 17"

if you just want to "look fast" go buy some konigs with some ****ing kumho tires, and then cry when your car gets SLOWER. otherwise, think about what your really buying the rims for:1.looks2. function

me? I chose number 2, hence the volk wheels. I'll be paying 1100 wholesale for them, as much as most people thinka wheel AND tire package costs.but they weigh less than my stockers, and are the offset and quality I need. so I dont mind paying.

My bad - Sorry guys. I am old and am used to seeing 'x' mean 'times' or 'multiplied by'.

The asterisk kisked my assterisk.:D

Chet's right, though. If you're going for looks, stay cheap because you'll be replacing them soon. But if you want to increase performance, stick with a lightweight (under 20 pounds) alloy rim no larger than 17" and some good quality (sticky) v- to z-rated tires.

Black240, How much do those wheels weigh?

I want to get either Konig Heliums (16.2 lbs.) in a 17x7 or 5 Zigen FN-01R (11.7 lbs.) in a 16x7.

So im pretty poor right now.I had about $10K to spend at stuff to my car. But now im down to $4K.
