i have a stock 240 5spd., thankfully we have no emission regulations to follow in my province, so i chopped off my cat. My best time is a 16.6. was wondering if that was par for my setup

Ka24e, flat K&n, no cat, no resonator, and a straight though muffler

sr20? nice! hey, while we are talking about this, I'm coming from the dsm community, and there is a crap-ton of info on upgrade paths. I am going to do the sr20 swap, but not for a couple of years. I want to do something to hold me over until then. major suspension work to be done before then, but I'll ask in the suspension forum.

I know most people get intake, headers, exhaust and pulleys. one guy has the jet chip, and he says he can feel the difference. any thoughts on this?

what would you expect to run with i/h/e/pulleys w/w.out chip? not big into drag racing, more into autox/roadrace/drifting, but the 1/4 is a good way to test power. thanks for the help, fellas!

I was running 10.6 BONE Stock on a 1/8th strip. That was before all my mods. I only have two more weeks until the track opens to get my new times.

if that's a reply to Aries 1/4 mile time, I believe he's running a LS1....hardly a fair comparison :-)

I am from saskatchewan, i heve been taking my car up to saskatoon to go racing, a 4 hour drive(thankfully it hasent broke anything while i was up there). Which leads me to another question i have, what is the first part of the drive line i should worry about breakin (if anything at all). I am getting bad wheel hop in 1st and am kinda worried

Actually, Aries is running an LT1 if I'm not mistaken...besides, its what's in his signature picture. The LT1 was the engine that came before the LS1.

What is you best time with the LT1? I mean with everything i.e. nitrous, drag radials, etc. I'm just curious what you have gotten the 240ss do get. Do you think you could have gotten better times with a manual?

BTW what was your best time on the nitous ka?

nitrous KA was 11.1

the thing about my new numbers is that I don't want them out there in the public. I race way too much to have those leaked arround by me posting them on the web ;)

Suffice it to say that the jets are set for 225hp.

I had a 92 hatch se, I pulled out everything behind the driver, had a crushbent 2.5in exhaust with a dynomax muffler, and a cut airbox I went 15.65 @ 87.9 with a not so good 2.4 60ft it did have about 160k miles on it. Oh my tach burnt out at somepoint before so I had no idea at what rpm I was shifting.
