what 04 computer performance upgrads are available
im new and was wondering what chips or comp flashes are available im looking to make my 04 quicker ... i just bought it yesterday put it in the paint shop it gets out on friday..

what color are you painting it? i expect picks when it's outa the booth.
fwiw even with standard bolt ons and a ecu flash the most you can expect to hit is HIGH 13s and that's not the easiest to hit there are probably only about 20 members of online forums that have hit 13s in a 6th gen. Check out Dragtimes.com and see what people are running(modz) to hit a number you want to achieve.
if you have any desire to go quicker then that it's either a turbo or nos. period. it's basically impossible to add a super charger(asin a turbo is cheaper, easier, and more reliable) So just keep that in mind. Also you can buy a full used stand alone engine management system which really is the way to go if you have serious go fast aspirations, for small money probably only a few hundred more than the ecu flash and 100x more usefull.

i bought the car(04 pewter) fri13th from the dealer went dwn the street to a paint shop and dropped it off gonna get it debadged and painted onyx black and all chrome blacked out.already ordered the one piece billet grill and bumper insert(black)..ordered the 19" aluminum wheels ..im not tryn to get it wicked fast just want it quciker than the stock maximas running around. i dnt know what transmission i have its auto ..i dnt know much about new cars..im old school muscle no ECUs i looked up techno they dnt have my make n model..

the TS ecu upgrade isn't going to do a whole lot imo. Call up TS and talk to them about it. They should have one for you...their website isn't the best. as i said i'd go with full stand alone if you have the desire for it. You'll net more HP and Tq with it. otherwise headers, intake, exhaust(all make the same HP just sound varies), intake spacers if aaron makes em for your gen, maybe some PU MMs, afc + tune should be fine for you that's really all there is NA. cams don't help a whole bunch and after you pay for the install the HP/$ ratio really sucks they help if you rev nice and high but to do that again you're looking at dropping some serious $ unless you can do it yourself. possibly a modded VB if they make a kit for your transmission which i think they do...
