lifted Chevy S-10Blazer/Jimmy of that vintage have notoriously weak frame and suspension points. I'd suggest you use extremely wise judgement when modifying such vehicles. These trucks simply cannot handle the excess forces placed on suspension components. I've seen several blazers brought in on a flatbed towtruck to my shop with nearly irreparable frame damage. Over time, cost of ownership will bankrupt you. I'm not just talkin out my butt here, I've seen the horror first hand.

Tino, the brace is a very good place to start. If you've got any metalworking or welding skills, then you can also fab up some horizontal frame braces to help box the frame up and shore up any excess frame movement. I've had to do this on my '72 bronco to combat the effects of big tires on a 30-plus year old frame. I think the main problem with the blazer/jimmy lifted trucks are the younger and not so wise owners who lift em and then proceed to beat the HOLY CRAP out of them. If you need a bruiser, get something with solid axles. much less likely to break.Again, good luck with the project, and let us all know how it works out!

Truthfully, I doubt I'll ever take it off road without some serious work on it, yea I guess it's gonna be more for show. I should be alright with the simple frame supports (note simple) with the setup I have going in, you think?

Yeah man, it should work out great if you build it with care.

West Coast Choppers kicks A**!!! I'm more of a sportbike guy, but his stuff is beautiful and evil at the same time, ya know?
