today i go to work and see a 350z out in the service lane with both doors up in the air lambo scissor style. i sigh to myself and wonder what this ricer wants from us. of all the techs in the shop, the service manager comes up to me and tells me i need to put new wheels on his car. i take one look at the massive 'tardo wing, the dual fart cannons, and ridiculous body kit(not to mention the doors) and figure he is prob getting some dubs put on. nope. $2500 worth of nismo LMGT4 wheels by rays engineering are replacing the stock track wheels which are also made by rays engineering. "reuse the old tires", the service manager tells me. to me this implies that the wheels are the same size. nope again. they are 8.5 in front and 9.5 in rear. they seem to have about the same weight but not the same size at all. so i do it. i put the 225's on the 8.5's and the 245's on the 9.5's and it looks dumb. the tires are all stretched out and tight. so then i drive it and it feels really different. same tire pressure and everything but the tires are on there so tight that you really feel more of the road. i did not flog it though(customers car) so who knows what would happen at the limit. then i read the direction that came with the wheels. it says to use 245's on the 8.5's and 275's on the 9.5's. i wonder if the guy is going to crash or something. i did protest so i think i have zero liability here.:bshake

What a moron.

The great part is his 350Z is STILL worth $5K LESS than the original sticker price.

Do you figure that from from his mods or just ALL 350z from that date will be worth 5k less and his will be more than 5k list from his mutilation of the car?

Most people think mods add to the value - His mods should probably detract from the value - Figure it's probably been repainted already, and the wing, fartcannons, kit and incorrect wheel/tire combo kills any remaining value...

Hope he plans on keeping it for a long time.
