I removed mine on my 89 240 and was wondering mostly what effects it could have removing it and what does the line that says fuel actually do drain vapors or pressure

the canister is filled with a special charcoal which absorbs raw fuel vapor. typically when the car is not running. then during vehicle operation when certain conditions are met it allows the vapors to be purged into the intake. this purging genraly occurs during cruising speeds. if you remove it you need to plug off the line at the vaccum T where it splits off to the egr. you also need to plug it off at the main hose going to the fuel tank.

thanx for the advice one thing i removed the canister and the egr controls and everything else on the right side of the engine bay and capped off all of the vaccum lines is there anything else that needs done.

one more thing i am pretty sure this is not related to any of that but not sure, every time i come out of a corner either in 1st or 2nd and go to step on the gas it bogs down until i take my foot off the gas and step on it again. it just started doing this and i was thinking the fuel pump being 14 years old and having no mileage maybe the electrical got old or worn out or something

with the car brought to op temp then shut off. .5v closed 4 to 5 volts w/o thr. the adjustment procedure has changed though nissan has decided that using a feeler gauge and an ohm meter is the best way to adjust it now. but i dont have the specs memorized.....yet.

anything over .6 volts closed is to high
