WG troubles

ok ive searched and i cant really find a really good answer. my wg isnt regulating just to make sure i have it hooked up right you just have to run a vacuum line from the turbo housing to the side fitting on the wg and that should be it right? well either i did it wrong or the spring is way bigger than i was told (was told it was 8psi) ive had it up to 13psi and i didnt want to go anyfarther to prevent dmg (setup only good to 8psi now )what colors are the springs and at what ratings are they?

Also, please describe what manifold you're using. This has been a constant issue with the Boost Designs manifold. For some reason, the port location and angle won't allow the exhaust gases to pass through the wastegate, resulting in nasty boost creep.

the wg is a tial and the manifold is one i got off of ebay (~$200) and the wg is hooked right up to the mani there isnt a tube coming off that it hooked too (ive seen ones like that) i havent got a chance to take the wg apart and look at the spring but going to do that tonight or tomorrow thats why i need to know the colors of them and how that corrisponds to the psi or just the one that 8 psi would be nice cuz it sux not being able to go WOT

Sounds like a stupid Q but can you put the wg in backwards?

what color spring do you have? I am having a wastegate problem also but my wastegate is opening up a 3psi and the max boost I have seen so far is 5psi out of it. It is suppose to be a 10psi spring in it.

not likely, it can only fit the fire ring on one side
