sorry i realize i gave no details. i just want to try to work out some small scratches in my paint. we all know the frustrations that N/I paint and clear coat cause, so I wanted to try to get some of the small nicks out. I will wetsand then polish. i have tried just a meguiars compound but it will not get it out.

Wouldn't wet sand on the paint unless it is real deep scratches and that's the only option. Even with 2000+ grit it may make that one spot look different than the rest of the car.

Definately try Scratch-X first.

There are many more options than scratch x for your Infiniti, depending on the scratch and what results you are looking for. I am an auto detailer, so If you have any questions regarding scratch removal or any detailing inquiries, let me know. I am here to help my fellow infiniti owners!

A couple recommendations for you. First, Scratch X is an abrasive polish, or polish with "cut" so it should work fine on your scratch. Idealy to use this product you would want a polisher with the appropriate cutting pads. A great way to use it if a buffer is not available, is a foam or wool polishing or applicator pad. pads are organized by color and material according to how much they will cut the clear coat. Start with the least aggresive, and work your way up till the scratch is gone. Another thing to note is, after polishing a vehicle with any abrasive polish, your paint system is fully exposed to the enviromentall elements. A proper wax application of the area polished is ablsolutely necessary! :dblthumb:

There are other ways/chemicals to acheive a higher cut or seal if this doesnt take out the scratch. Or if you are not happy with the results.
