I've done some searching and everyone seems to tell anyone that asks about running nitrous on an SR that they need to have it tuned to do so or bad things are going to happen. I have a NX wet kit with all the goodies (Bottle opener, heater, purge, gauge, etc) on my H22 Accord and I was thinking about removing it and hooking it up to the SR.

It is a wet kit and I understand fully how to use it properly. I always run 93 octane, I have a FMIC, and a full 3" exhaust. Being a wet kit, it is already adding fuel to the mixture when it sprays so would there be any need for ECU tuning or would it still be necessary?

I know I probably can't run the 75 shot that I was running on the h22 on the SR, I'm guessing it would probably be safer at a 35 or 50 shot but I haven't found anyone to confirm this just yet. I know NX made the cover of Super Street recently with their nitrous powered S15 but I don't remember if they did any ECU tuning for it.

Anyone out there running a NX wet kit or have any information about using one on the SR?

It should all work out, the only think I could see being an issue is the stock ignition system getting overwhelmed. You might want to invest in some irridium plugs and gap them down to like .028 so the spark dosn't get snuffed out.

I think you'll be allright with the wet kit, 50 shot shouldn't be a problem (as long as you have plenty of fuel pressure, I assume you have a Walbro).

Just take it easy and up the NX slowly, see what she'll take before the plugs start to show signs of detonation.
