I am a new z32 owner. I purchased a 91 2+2 N/A about 2 months ago. I have noticed that occasionally the driver's side floorboard will be wet underneath the floormat. Today I parked my car uphill and notice a leak coming from under the driver's seat dripping on the ground. There was quite a bit of fluid leaking out. It was just to the outside of the car from the fuel line cover. It was not fuel. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

That would make since I guess. Thank you for the input. Do you happen to know where the heater core is located so I can check for sure?

Nevermind dont answer that I researched it. Think I will try heater core bypass for now. Seeing as how I live in Texas and dont see any need for the heater for a few months at least.

Does it actually smell like coolant though?

The leaking under the car can be from the drain tubes that run from the T-tops down to the edge of the fender.

My driver's side floor is usually damp too, I'm not sure why yet but I do know that my frame rail right there has a nice hole in it.

It smells a bit like coolant. The other day I was almost completely out of coolant and the car was over heating on me while I was traveling out of town and I had to stop and put water in it just to get back home. This was the day before the leaking so there wouldnt have been much coolant in there any way. Plus it hasn't really rained here in almost a month so I don't think it would be the drain for the T-tops. Also there was quite a bit of fluid leaking out on the ground. I'm not sure that much water could have been in that drain tube

Well in that case, yes its probably your heater core. When mine went, it leaked coolant out of the lower vents every time I turned it was horrible. In this case, just bypass the heater core (or replace it)
