This site has been a big help to me, so I wanted to post something that might help folks. I recently discovered the passenger floorboard of my 1999 1/2 Infiniti QX4 was wet, and through trial and error verified it was an air conditioning drain tube that was clogged. It's been a warm spring here, and because there wasn't a smell of coolant, I assumed it wasn't the heater core. At the very least, I wanted to try the cheap and easy option of clearing the AC drain tube. But I was frustrated trying to discover exactly where it was, so to help the next guy/gal, I've put a little video on Youtube to point it out. I also suggest lifting the carpet, because it the top is wet, there's a great chance that underneath is a real problem.

My video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35edhUxnPco and I hope it helps someone as much as y'all have helped me in the past.

Wanted to revivie this thread as I am having this issue. I did use a pump from one of our inflatable mattresses, but that only fixed the issue for a couple of days. I am curious if I can hook up a vacuum with a small hose that can fit in there, if it will help clear out the clog? I don't really have anything that will blow powerful enough to clear it out without having to invest in an air compressor. Is there a way to drop out the unit from the inside of the car to clear it? Fortunately I was able to lift the carpet and clean out a majority of the water and with the heat we've been having, it has dried up everything in the car. I did use the AC a few days ago and that's when I notice it wasn't draining again when I looked underneath the car and felt that the carpet had gotten wet again. It got cooler so I haven't used the AC in a few days so I would like to take advantage of the weather to work on the car.

If you can get to it, try to use a wet vac to dislodge the clog.

To have it suck or blow out the drain hose? I actually have a shop vac but unfortunately it is in storage. Car is in the shop right now to have the CV axles replaced. Can't really do those kind of repairs while living in an apt complex. I'll give it a shot when I get the car back.
