My passenger side floor board gets wet, very wet, and i haven't been able to link it to rain as of yet, because it hasn't rained in a while and i have been out of town. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it might be. Thanks

Cecil

that doesent mean anything you have a reserve, that little container that i have seen some people fill with windshield fluid.(on the right side looking rear) if that has fluid in it hopefuly antifreze it will keep your radiator full

it doesn't take much to make your floorboard wet. can you eyeball 1 missing cup out of 3~4 gallons?heck get down there and smeel the floor...is it sweet smelling?

Could also be your A/C crap leaking. But my guess would be Coolant from the heater core.Tyler

I'll check it, smell it and get back to you. The reserve is low, but the radiator is full...my jeep never had a reserve, so i just figured that wasn't super important if the rad was full. Thanks for all of your ideas. I'll get back to you shortly! Thanks

pressure test your cooling system, you can rent a tester or go to a garage it should hold pressure for a long time, if it dosent clamp off your heater core lines with some kind of clamp with a soft surface like vise grips with tape on them as to not damage the rubber hoses re-presurize the radiator if it holds pressure the heater core is suspect.

I just checked the floor, it is dry now, and I drove to work today, and home for lunch, so i would think if it was continous it would be wet now. So I am guessing it is rain, because when it is wet, it is really wet, and it hasn't rained it a while...so it must be rain water. Any ideas where it could be getting in? I will keep an eye on the rad and overflow. Should I fill the overflow up and see if it loses water? Just to check? Thanks everyone

cecil, maybe you need to tell your passenger to stop taking a leak on your floor.

could be a rust hole in the floor board or around the bottom of the windshield. Mine had holes so bad you could see the road passing under the car! Driving through puddles was out but I never had to stop to take a leak!

i'll get under it after it gets back from the adjuster....if they don't total it. Some girl nailed me in back end today while on my way home from work. She "thinks" she wasn't going that fast...like 30 or so...and I was like...people die at 30 sometimes. Maybe if you weren't on the phone chattin it up, you could have saved you and me and the witnesses, police, insurance people, mechanics, etc a hell of a lot of time. Sorry to rant, but it has been a bad afternoon. I will check all the options if and when i get my sweet 240 back. Thanks again for all of the ideas. I might have some wreck questions in a few days. Thanks

Cecil

and yeah, i probably should get my friends to quit leakin on the floor!

Blame the leaking floor on the accident! Unibodies do weird things when they get hit. Sorry to hear about that, hope it works out.

i had a bad heater core in my '85 ford tempo (don't ask why i had a tempo) and it leaked all over the passenger floor like a mofo. also when i turned the heater on it fogged up my windows with coolant (which is a ****** to get off). does your heater work fine?
