Okay So Im trying to figure out why my exhaust ports on my SR are wet?? I bought the motor off my friend the bottom end was completely rebuilt. An the head was built new valves, valve guides, springs retainers, valve seals everything. He ran the motor for about 40 miles an then pulled it cause he had a issue with burning oil an running rich. He sold the ecu an injectors to another buddy an found out that the rich problem was caused by one of the two. then sold the turbo an found out the seals were bad all sold within our group of friends so there were no hard feelings about parts etc. But the motor sat outside for 2 months wrapped up in a tarp i don't beleive it ever rained on it but I got a couple pics of the motor Im not sure if anyone has any idea what the issue might be? Possibly the valve seals didnt seal properly?

Heres the exhaust side photo taken with my iphone sorry for quality cyl 2 an 3 are the only wet ones

I'd put money on the valve seals leaking.

A compression/leakdown wouldn't be a bad idea either, to see if it's not a ring issue.

Same issue for me, #3 had oil on cylinder also. Compression was 200. I plan on replacing valve seals. I require other work as well. But I have same problem

I also would be thinking improperly installed or defective valve seals, but as codyace stated a compression/ leak down test test will be the negating factor.

Hmm Ill have to get my hands on a leak down tester. Only thing is I feel like a compression test would be useless since the rings shouldnt even be seated yet
