Werid noise question!!!

now ive read read read i just am not quite sure.... when i start the car it idlles and i hear nothing just normal stuff but then when i rev it up and get to about 1900 rpms i hear a kocking noise then if i give it more gas it goes away.... car runs fine makes good boost i JUst installed boost controler but noise was there before hand im still running stock boost tho just installed it for now but would that just be my timeing chain? it almost honestly sounds like thats what it could be but i wana be positive.. i mean i have high oil i just got the motor it leaks no oil at all and the rattleing doeisnt get any more extreem when i rev it... it just kinda gets louder then goes away.. any ideas? thanks

i just did the video ill uplaod it shortly its more like a rattle my friend said if it was rod kock id would be louder then the sound i have now but i have heard of minor rod kock before so idk.. when i got the motor they place i got it from told me to be the **** out of the oil pan and make it a bowl i didnt do that at all i just let it ride on how it was it looked fine... it wasint flat or no bumps in it they said they bench started it wich i HIGHLY doubt they did looks liek they just put fresh oil in it he said it was makeing killer boost and stuff but how could you know if it came with no waste gate lol........... but ill upload the movie a.s.a.p i hope its somethign minor i just spent alot of money to only waste it on something if thats the case id get another car and rebuild this motor but i wana know what it could be a.s.a.p im drifting at the track on the 25th if its minor ill go if its somethign bad ill baby it untill i can get it pulled and rebuilt

Sounds to me like its coming from the chain guide. You should remove it by taking off the valve cover and taking off iirc, 2 screws that hold it down. Its between each cam sprocket.

Hmm..yeah try taking out the chain guide. its a good idea anyway to remove it ive heard horror stories of them breaking and blowing your motor. will only take you about 10min then try again.. if that doesn't fix it..might be a rod
