Were the JDM and USDM verts made from the same "shells"?

Anyone know if the JDM S13 vert parts can be swapped en masse to the USDM vert? Were the "shells" the same?

I ask because I _might_ be going to Japan for a bit next year and will probably go parts shopping if I do. On the off chance I find a JDM S13 vert, I might nab some vert-specific parts.

I'd like to think think they were. I mean our "coupes" were made in Japan...

JDM vert parts should be compatible with USDM ones. Aside from the top and a few other differences, they are pretty much the same thing.

Not made by ASC, though.

I think Nissan sold 600 or 800 s13 verts in Japan. Finding one in junkyard will be like a winning a lottery. That country is not that small either. I don't know where you are going, but try to find one of those cheap used parts shops. Prices are amazingly low, and you can find some good stuff there. People buy from those stores and make good money on selling them on eBay.

I know about the rarity thing, I just want to be prepared if I head over there. Wouldn't want to miss out on converting my car to something even more rare.

I'll probably be going to Okinawa and Tokyo.

the only differences I have noticed in the few pics of JDM verts i've see are that they didnt have a boot, they had a hard, body matched piece that flipped back to allow the soft top to appear and come up. the other is that the seat belts were not located in a ****ty pillar on the door, they were located in that little hump thing just behind the pillar, off of the door. Thats all I know
