Were is the factory amp

I have a 2000 SE crew cab. The speaker sound suck I think the amp has gone bad were is it

Unless you have the Rockford Fosgate System, which the 2000 Xterra's and Frontier's didn't come with, your factory deck has the amp built into it.

Check the 2 gang plugs at the back of the deck and make sure you have proper contact. A loose connection can cause this issue sometimes but it could also be that the amp has packed it in.

Could be time for a new to you deck!

And most of the new decks will bolt right into the factory mounting plates.All you need to do is get a wiring adapter and maybe a face plate trim to make the deck look like a high price install.
