They use the single cam motors uprated slightly to the 130hp range. Gets stupid good fuel economy and goes well enough, but it's still a four cylinder Honda, so it's not going to set your pants on fire. They buggered up the suspension in 2001 to make it cheaper to produce. It's very rough and clobbers you over cracked pavement. Doesn't grip particularly well either, the tires just howl in protest any time you get frisky with it. I spun it out on a gravel road one day, it just went into snap oversteer without much warning (fortunately I missed going ***-first into the ditch). Supposedly the earlier ones handled much better.
