well i finally made it out to the track with the altima, and my fried also brought his 93 24osx 5spd, the track is over an hour away, and we had planned this day out perfect: we leave my house at about 6:3o, we arrive at No Problem Raceway here in louisiana at about 7:4o or so, well we were so excited to run the cars, i must admit,i felt like i was about to become a dad. Then, i notice, we're the only ones at the damn track, apparently it rained earlier that day and they cancelled the track day, needless to say i was rather pissed, so we drove 75 miles one way for nothing, freggin figures, i just wanted one damn run, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK???!!, we turn around and head home (me leading in the altima) and cruised the entire way at about 1oomph (not safe, i know, but we made great time, besides, we were in BFE) we made it home in under 45 minutes and now here i am sharing my huge dissappointment, hopfully soon i will make it back out there and actually get to run my car

100 mph is fun.

There is currently a measure in front of the austrian assembly to setra national speedlimit of 160 kph which is 100 mph.

it just sucked so badly, i was so curious and excited to see what the altima would run, and get my first timeslip, but nooooo, the dman place was closed, so there goes 16omiles and 1.5hours of driving for nothing

I remember driving from College Park MD to South Carolina last summer. We did about 100mph (average) in North Carolina. The Altima had no problem keeping up with traffic going this fast.

Rob,Sorry to hear about your rain out. What type of track is it?Bud

yea, you had mentioned to me in the past yo've seen miltiple runs of 16.6s, i have crappy tires, so id like to go once i get my rims/tires, but honestly, i dont know if my 18's will slow me down or by how much, i have steel rims now, so i know they're not light, and i have ****ty all seasons (2o5/65/R16) and im going to get 225/4o/R18 or 17, not too sure yet, but wold they slow me down that much?

I don't know, if they are substantially heavier they would, but since your tires are bad on your stock wheels, probably not.

well i think some average 18 inch aluminum rims won't be any heaver than my 16 inch 'steel' rims, it may add a couple poiunds, but nothing noticavle i suspect, and also, my tires are pretty ****ty, so the newre 'performance' tires would help

yeah. My steel wheels are very very heavy. The aftermarket 15's I had on my altima were feather-light compared to my steelies on the 240.

Yeah that road trip sucked the nuts I was so ready to get a time slip for the 240. But it was fin running on rivet, anyways I still have Nick to race we should get him out to No Problem he should be pretty quick since he seems to shift like a mad man. I still think I'd take him though more torgue and rwd and well he drive an eclipse.

Nope its a 99 Rs with almost ad many miles on it as my car it has a can and a drop and new headlights other than that its stock ... the stiffere springs should help him out though it should be close cause Nick shifts like a mad man.

yea, nick does shift really well, and i dont think his springs would help him THAT much in a straight line, but his body roll was def cut in half, so he should be able to tear up our lil autocross if he knows how to drive wel

must be a small autox if an eclipse rs woudl own all. At our autox's your eclipse better be turboed and modded majorly to even keep up with a stock s13.

the eclipse and the s13 are very close in a straight line race, and the eclipse can handle fairly well, not quite as well as the s13, and the eclipse also has a stiffer suspension now than the s13, trust me, they're not THAT far off
