went to the track this weekend

every wednesday and friday the local track has test and tune night so i went friday with a couple of friends and there were some pretty quick cars out there. surprisingly there were very few hondas but a butload of srt-4's, the neons were running mid 14's so they are pretty quick but then there was this really nicely painted orange s13 and i walk over to it and see a nice size intercooler, then the guy pops his hood and theres an rb26 with one big turbo. he gets a couple of runs in and with no traction in first gear and a little traction in second he hits a 12.8 when he finally gets traction that thing takes off like no other. there was also a turbo is300 running high 12's so it was a pretty interesting night

How the hell did he fit an rb26 i thought it wouldnt fit due to steering linkage problems or something are you sure it wasn't an rb25. And if it was an rb26 he must be rich as a mo fo.

thats only with the factory twin turbos, with a custom single top moutn turbo you can simply route the downpipe around the steering linkage.

it barely fits but he got it in there. you can tell it is an rb26 because on the front of the engine it is stamped RB26
