and ran bad times i did a rough 300 mile trip RIGHT BEFORE i went to the track so the car finally decided to give me some punishment and do bad at the track lol best time was a 14.3 and my worst was a 14.5.... there is some GOOD news though! my trap speeds kept getting better.... i NEVER hit 100 MPH in the 1/4 mile. always 99 point something... today i hit 100, then 101, then 102 MPH

-OTHER CARS... my friend with an E500 invited me to go with him and a couple AMGs. so there were (2) E55 AMG and there was a new challenger SRT8 AND A NEW 2010 CAMARO SS, and a NEW BMW M3.... the M3 had drag radial tires, full exhaust, a tune, and idk what else but he only ran a 12.3 (i was expecting better with the mods).... as for the new camaro, i finally found someone that drives worst then the Edmunds drivers! seriously, the guy was horrible, he did 14's with it lol

I think you should hook a 50 shot to your intake and see what happens As far as the CAMARO give it some time, if it was a SS lots of HP and weight and RWD with factory tires really has a learning curve! On the Camaro put some Drag Tires and when the tune is available mid 12's, Headers/Cam/ tune and you will see 11's IMO

Hussain - could it have been the heat causing you to go slower? What was the temperature out there vs the last few times you went?

I feel the same about 4 bangers

And the 50 shot should cool the intake air nicely

the SS camaro wouldnt even attempt a burn out! they would just go line up without heating the tires... it would get some wheel spin off the line but nothing crazy, looked like they only did light throttle off the line and then once they were going they got on it..... at least there friend in the SRT8 would screech the tires a tiny bit before they would run.... both drivers i think were 16 year old girls.... there were a bunch of young girls in the cars and next to them in the pit lanes lol

the temperature was warmer then when i went last so that did have an effect but i think also because of the trip right before... i mean i was high in the mountains going through the twisties in 1st gear manual mode with the RPMs around 5-6k for like 20 min straight, then a half hour in horrible stop and go traffic in down town San Francisco and then the long drive back to Sacramento....

ya it was fun and ya it probably wasnt the best thing to do.... it was in a much higher altitude then i'm used to so when i kept it in "D" it felt so sluggish like the car didnt really want to go.... so i had to use manual mode and switch between 1st and 2nd but found myself leaving it in 1st most of the time

So what does driving in first gear the day before have to do with your track times???

it wasnt the day before, it was right before the track lol after i took it into high altitudes and had a little too much fun and then stuck in horrible traffic and then drive to the track and race.... idk, maybe it didn't have any affect on it but it felt like i over worked the car yesterday..... at one point i was trying to build RPMs and the car pretty much told me no and dropped RPMs while my foot was all the way on the gas..... it was fine after i let it sit for a while though...

i'm no expert on the CVT transmission but i worked the car a lot yesterday and they say the fail point of CVT is heat and maybe the transmission was getting a little hot.... maybe thats why it didnt want to hold the RPMs up when i was trying to build RPMs.... also when i opened my hood my engine bay was HELLA HOT.... car is fine though, i think it just needed to chill for a day before taking it to the track

ya i have a whole thread about it on the forums here..... i had time slips, pics, vids, and everything.... the vid however, i got a 14.0 and then when it got cooler at night i got a 13.9 two times but my friend already left and he was the camera man lol but you can look at the exact times in the vid and i have the time slip from that run and you can see my car number and then see the other time slips with my car number.....
