Well it started out rough. This was the first time I've ever been to or ran at a 1/4 mile track. Disclaimer: Full tank of gas, full interior, NO LSD, slippery track. The temp was about 65-70 degrees a little above sea level, whatever Orlando is.

First Run: AWFUL

R/T .66560' 3.1811/4 18.435 @ 80.52 MPH:angryfire <---- almost killed myself after i found out

So yeah my first run ever was pretty bad. I got nervous at the light, and floored it in first. I was pretty much going no where with my engine spinning @ 6000 RPMS. I shifted to 2nd, bringing it to 1500 RPMS, and had to go all the way up the powerband after that haha. wow..they actually sent out a little scooter thing cause they thought something broke on my car cause I was so slow. On top of that they thought my clutch was burnt out because from their angle they saw no tire spin due to my absense of LSD.

Second Run: Experimenting still and getting the hang of it

R/T .64560' 2.6181/4 17.682 @ 79.33 MPH:(

I missed 3rd on this run, I was so pissed off.

Third Run: very pleased considering my R/T and previous runs

R/T .507 :D60' 2.379 1/4 16.392 @ 83.52 MPH

Fourth Run: best of the night, happy with results for first night racing

R/T .60860' 2.2691/4 16.197 @ 84.64 MPH:)

Pretty pleased with this run for the first time being at the track under these conditions. I pretty much slipped the clutch from 2500 RPMs on the last two runs to get a feel for track racing, next time i'll start at 4 or so and see if I can get 15s, I'm pretty sure I will. Thought you all might want to enjoy these for comparison.

some guy there last night came up to me and said he ran a 15.3 in his stock 95. Could be believable, I know he mentioned advancing the timing, how much would that really help? Could I do that with 91 cams in? How much of a difference do you think that would make?

yes,, i beleive that,,, if mine had been a newer engine or de or even less mile ie higher compresion,,, it could have gotten better but i stoped after that run cuz it took 3 hours to get the tire mounted on mi rims on a sat night, so i barly had time to run the last time,,, never had my 91 to the track,, tho i dont really car what i ran i want to know what it will run.. engine builder guesses 9.s but who know,, long way to go

You times got impressively better, very nice job on adapting. Your car is capable of 15's, just need more practice. Good job though, good to hear you were able to get the times that you were happy with.

What is done to your 91 to make it run 9's?

PS - take it easy w/ the commas, they don't work like periods do...

Well WTF! you paid 4800 bucks for it!:pface Thats a base model right? Mine was 9200 talked down to 8700, I had 65K on it and actually it was green before, but 5spd, leather, sunroof, $500 sound system already in there. I saw it pop up on autotrader and 3 min later I had an appointment in Miami for it, got so lucky. How do you like those rims? are they light? I like them but they're kinda too hard to see, so black. Do they come in gunmetal? You should get the oem front lip, side skirts and spec K wing, then we'll be twins;). Nice car man.

thats a good improvement, hope you can get it going faster next time. try borrowing some slicks or drag radials, those'll help a ton, then you can come brag to everyone that you ran an obscenely low time.

LMAO, ya I did get a killer deal. And yes I have a base :-P It's cool though, less weight! I remember when you first got that car, I was super jealous. Also I really really like what you've done with It, very clean. And ya, I've already ordered my lip and skirts :ylsuper But I'm gonna go wing-less :firedevil None of my friends really like my rims, but I wanted a white car with bronze or black rims, I picked black. I know It's hard to see from the pictures, but I like them a lot. And I think they came In white, black, and gunmetal. Check out wheelmax.com, they have decent rim/tire packages for good prices If your intrested and I think they have a shipping center in FL.
