I'm running 9psi. It flutters after i let off the throttle. While on the throttle in boost it jerks. Pulls good still but jerks really nasty like.

No relay mod on this one. I got a few relays laying arounld i could do that but i'm not sure why it didn't do this before is the thing.

What did you gap the plugs to? How much power are you putting down? What heat range of plug are you running? Now that it's getting cooler here in the mid-west, breakup can occur if the plugs are not gapped tighter.

I'm running bkr7e ngk's. On 9 psi i cant imagine i'm at much more than like 250-280ish? plugs are gapped to .030.

check your grounds real good? as in remove them and clean em?

its worth every bit of effort imho and you can run a pretty good gap.

does it clear up after 5500rpm lol? cts or knock sensor.

check the codes?

No codes. Didn't quite pay attention to if it cleared up at 5500 i didn't take it up that high. I mainly kept my eye on my wideband to make sure it doesn't go way lean.

Sounds pretty good to me.

Gap them to .026 and see what happens!?! May not idle as smooth, but see if it stops the break-up. Won't hurt just to try it. You can then officially rule that out.

Yeah i suppose i'll try that here shortly. Not much else left to try. I got another distributor laying around i'm thinking of throwing in just to rule that out as well. Now once i start throwing parts at it i'm gonna feel like some cracked out back alley mechanic that can't diagnose....

sounds like you have fuel so no need to mess with that, you know you dont have boost leaks as well. It has to be a spark related issue..

Ok here's something new.... i boost leak tested again(still no leaks in piping manifold etc. But i do get some from my valve cover and i can hear my oil "bubbling" so to speak.... that an indication of anything? Just wondering if that is even relevant. Or if i might have a pcv valve issue.

Ok well i just went out and messed with it a bit and noticed that when i unhook my return line for my oil that the bubbling goes away while doing the boost leak test. Does that mean that i have a blown turbo seal? Would that explain my problems at wot of breaking up and sputtering? I don't have any smoking or anything of that nature

Well i got my situation with breaking up fixed. It looks like one of my couplers on my bov was slightly leaking and somehow i ovelooked it while boost testing. But i'm still getting the "surge" I don't get it when free revving but when i let off from boost i get the sound.

Sounds just like this video... exactly actually

Yup that was definitely a bad bov. I replaced it with a greddy knockoff and the surge went away. My friend had one laying around along with the flange pipe and i took it off his hands for 20 bucks. Sounds kinda funny though. I'm likely gonna recirculate it either way though.

lol, same here bro, except when I had the crash my volvo valve got pwnd, 3 turbo volvos in the junk yard today and I'll be damned if they are all missing that sexy biotch.

I need larger hot pipe before I can install my greddy knock off.

a HINT on the freddy, the lower port is an assist port, you run a boost source to it. That helps increase the speed of the valve. And if you want the sexy sound run it loose, way loose.
