Hey guys and gals, I went to the track again, with the 18" wheels on, and I got the time I was hoping for.

I was able to squeeze out 14.4 @ 98mph. Not a bad time all things considered... beats 15.1 with twenties on.

I'm hoping to go up again to test the SBD grounding wire kit for comparison before the drag season is over When they get here Sucks living so far from California

Let me know what you think of my times...

Grant,

I'm using the phone number from your website for the UPS shipping unless you tell me otherwise.

I run 14.4's when its hot outside and 14.0's when its cool.

I'll be going to the track sometime this month.... the need for speed is starting to build I went 131 GPS verified MPH on the highway the other day GOT to get to the track soon and get it out of my system!

Was your 60' the same? what about the weather, was it the same or close? 7/10's seems like alot for just wheels but thats awesome. What was the weight difference of the wheels? I know you made your final gear a little steeper compared to the 20's. I'm currently looking for light weight wheels that are not ugly.

Well, it's not that I changed the gearing, I just reduced the rotational mass of the wheels. I think they are nearly 10 lbs less than the 20s... EACH!!!

60ft with 20s was 2.389 or more

60ft with 18s was 2.263 or more

You are correct however about the 7/10ths being a large gap I removed my spare tire for the day I'm looking to find a stock 17" wheel to compliment my spare tire, I'm in the market for 2 17" racing/street tires right now, something with a nice low profile and lots of traction off the line, Thinking 265 / 40 / 17... she'll look pretty hideous no doubt

That's why I like the track, and I never had such harsh feelings against road racing until I was shown the general mentality towards it on these forums.

I come from a generation of street racing, where we used to line up on the road in my little civic, and beat my friends integra, whoever crossed the traintracks first wins...

LOL, things have changed, I can now go to the track and put the pedal down as far as I can, and get the fastest times I can.

There are many great people to meet, and a whole wealth of knowledge at the track events etc... people seem to be really helpful on the track, offering you a free parking spot or air pump to refill your tires etc. Really good times.

I went the first time 3 weeks ago, and I went last weekend, going up to Prince Edward Island to do some more racing this weekend. Should be a blast, I'll have more slips and vids / pics to show off.
