Really, guess cause I can tell you the numbers were right where I expected them to be.

I've also searched around and haven't found any other M with a higher number.

ps: did not open the cutouts

I have to make sense of the dyno charts so I'll post em up this weekend, but the numbers were - 271hp and 280tq

I can tell you that this thing is wierd to dyno. Originally we got the tach signal from one of the coil signal wires, but for some reason the calibration was off and it didn't record the correct rpm so we then chose the optical pickup off the rear tire, but as we found out the torque converter locks - but it doesn't stay locked through the pull which I think ir reducing the power to the ground capability.

Also, when the power valve opens, the engine actually looses power instantaneously then picks it back up which you'll see in the graph. I wanted to try and run it with it off for the whole run, and again with it on the whole time but I ran out of time since it was a non scheduled dyno.

Also, the Air / Fuel ratio was wierd as well. for some runs it was pig rich down to 11:1 and some runs it was up to 13:1 - again need to make sense of the graphs before I can have an idea why.

Also, 3rd gear will carry to 6900rpm but 4th gear stops at 6600rpm, I think that it was possible the speed limiter was kicking in, but again, need to check the graphs to be sure.

All in all it was fun. all I wanted to do was make more than 250rwhp and I did, definitely didn't loose power like most would have thought. I guess you can mod these cars, just have to do it correctly.

I expect at least 7-10hp with the cutouts open and when it finally gets tuned - possibly another 10hp +

good times!

ps: the weopon R intak looks to be the closest representation to my homade intake, I'll do some more research to figure that one out, but I definitely wouldn't use their filter media - swap it out for an AFE oiless or amsoil nano oiless filter

I thought this was the UpRev dyno tune........I hope UpRev can squeeze more than 10hp from the M45....Also, do you think UpRev will be able to fix all the inconsistencies the car is giving?? Anyways, good luck. The UpRev info is the only thing I'm waiting for. I need to know what they are capable of adding to the M45. If 10hp is all that he can squeeze from it, then I'll pass.

...........brother you must not have modded very many cars in your time.

10rwhp for a N/A V8 is VERY good. i have dyno sheets of my old 5.0 and my old 02 SS where i picked up 11rwhp and 13rwhp respectively by having them dyno tune the car with the bolt-ons i had already on there. HP is not cheap and any real modder will tell you that.

the news that Ken is giving us is very good because it seems that the ECU is "confused" at times and is either giving the car too much fuel or not enough. a good dyno tune will erase all that and give the car a good air/fuel ratio.

i need to find out if superchips or diablosport make a tune for our VK motors.

The a/f mixture issue could be related to what gear it is in. I've seen it where there are different tunes depending on the gear. The new mustangs fall on their face in 4th gear loosing almost 10hp compared to 3rd.

10hp is good, but not for $800.00 in my opinion. That's what I was quoted from Uprev. It gives a tune and Cipher software to change the program back to factory when needed.

The only other programmer on the market for our cars is Jet Chip. Which is not worth it due to it not being plug & play. You have to send off your ECU to them and they tune it and send it back. No one has given any info or feedback on their product's results.

I thought the tune switch was handled through the cruise control switch - no?
