They actually weren't morons....This bewildered me. Normally, I get stuck up salesmen who have no idea about anything other than they think I am an 18 year old just looking to drive the piss out of a new car, therefore they don't talk to me at all.

Today rather, a nice salesmen comes outside and introduces himself. He looks at the 240 and says ":wow, this is a very nice Nissan you have. What is it?" I say its a 240sx. He continues to rave on about how gorgeous it is, asks what year it is, mileage, etc. I tell him, and he seems to be sincerely interested.

He asks if I was interested in looking at some specific vehicles. Of couse I was, but I play it off. "Nah I'm just a huge Nissan fan, wanted to come and look at the lot for a bit and see what kinda stuff you had. But I am wondering, when are you going to be getting an Altima SE-R? My mom likes Altimas, and I want her to have the best of course, so the SE-R is what I am interested in"

After some discussion, he finds out they are getting a red automatic in about 60 days. Cool with me. He then continues to ask if I wanted to drive a Z, because he could tell I was eyeing every one of them on the showroom floor. Of COURSE I want to drive one, but, silly me resisted the temptation because, unfortunately I have to be at work in a few minutes and I seriously think I would still be driving the car if I had gotten behind the wheel. But now that I know which salesman is actually cool, I will be going back next week to get my first ever driving experience in a 2004.5 350z.

I was just so caught of guard at the fact that the Nissan dealer here in town actually has a salesman that I like, I figured I'd share.

Oh, should I drive a coupe or convertible Z?

Coupe. Take him with you, and show him what a Z is supposed to do. Don't ***** out like the grandmas that come and buy 350's (at least around here)

Dont rag on the car if its not driven in.You dont want to be acustomer w/ a Z whose rings didnt seat right cuz a guy abused it during break-in.

I'll let you drive mine kinda hard if you show up to the next meet and wear <clean> clothes.

I wish our guys were that cool.

<rant> When my dad went to get mom's 04 Murano, I was talkin to a salesman in there about the Nismo 350 Z parts. I was sitting in a dark grey Z vert on the showroom floor. Top down good stuff. He comes over and starts talkin. I mentioned that even though I like the Z, but I wish it had at least 300 hp. Then he tries to tell me that they can get around 400-500 hp If I get all the Nismo parts. Unless Nismo came out with something new(Turbo/SC), Then I call BS. Dont try tosell me something that you neither know about nor have any proof of ther gains from the Nismo products. If Nismo does have things that produce that much power, then I stand corrected. But to my knopwledge, the S-Tune and R-Tune packages dont make those kinda numbers. <end rant>

Maybe I should sell cars so that more people could get the satisfaction that they seek.

Yea, our Nissan dealership are idiots, I took my car to get my door lock fixed. They did know how to lock my ebrake with the spin knob and ended up yanking the ebrake botton all the way out! I was so pissed, they were about to close but I made them stay open tell they fixed my ebrake!

our nissan dealership honors warranty repairs very very well. My buddy has had an 02 altima and also an 04 alty he has now. On any all on repairs they have done it timely and never gave him any fret about it.

Sounds like he is a good salesman. He is working you into trading your sport coupe in on a new Z(= lots of $ for him), and he hopes to sell your mom a top of the line Altima(=more cash his way).

Do what I did. Test drive some used 03's. I never dorve my car before the day I took delivery. It had 12 miles on it.
