They actually weren't morons....This bewildered me. Normally, I get stuck up salesmen who have no idea about anything other than they think I am an 18 year old just looking to drive the piss out of a new car, therefore they don't talk to me at all.
Today rather, a nice salesmen comes outside and introduces himself. He looks at the 240 and says ":wow, this is a very nice Nissan you have. What is it?" I say its a 240sx. He continues to rave on about how gorgeous it is, asks what year it is, mileage, etc. I tell him, and he seems to be sincerely interested.
He asks if I was interested in looking at some specific vehicles. Of couse I was, but I play it off. "Nah I'm just a huge Nissan fan, wanted to come and look at the lot for a bit and see what kinda stuff you had. But I am wondering, when are you going to be getting an Altima SE-R? My mom likes Altimas, and I want her to have the best of course, so the SE-R is what I am interested in"
After some discussion, he finds out they are getting a red automatic in about 60 days. Cool with me. He then continues to ask if I wanted to drive a Z, because he could tell I was eyeing every one of them on the showroom floor. Of COURSE I want to drive one, but, silly me resisted the temptation because, unfortunately I have to be at work in a few minutes and I seriously think I would still be driving the car if I had gotten behind the wheel. But now that I know which salesman is actually cool, I will be going back next week to get my first ever driving experience in a 2004.5 350z.
I was just so caught of guard at the fact that the Nissan dealer here in town actually has a salesman that I like, I figured I'd share.
Oh, should I drive a coupe or convertible Z?
