Paid my $75 to do 3 pulls at Forced Air Tech today. This is on my stock longblock, never rebuilt, first and only RB20 I've ever owned for the past 4 years. This was on a mustang dyno and at 20psi on E85 fuel...Mods:

honestly, I haven't the slightest clue. The power FC commander only shows peak values, and the timing will jump quite a bit when you let off after redline. So I have no idea of the exact number at full boost.

This car was very quick on 100 octane, I'm curious to see what it feels like on e85.

Dave, call me when you have some spare time. I wanna see what 400WHP is like on an internally stock rb20 .

Why did he only rev to 7k? Did he do any pulls to 7500? or is that a mustang dyno thing?

x2

Which is also why I commented on the lag. While I know it probably spools a little better on the street 5500 to 7000 is too small of a powerband to really be useful.

Maybe the ignition pickup on the dyno wasn't working and those #s are based off MPH and the scaling is off?

My redline is set to 7200rpm until I get another fuel pump. I'm maxing out my walbro 255lph right now on E85. My afr's are pretty steady in the 11's and get near 12's toward redline. This redline is only set for safety. I was taking it to 8k when I was on 100 octane. After I add another fuel pump, I'll re-tune. Having these dyno pulls lets us know where we can make improvements. This is just a street tune that took about an hour. I'm sure we'll get some better #'s in the future. I would take this as round #1. I think I'm pushing the limit on a bone stock rb20 longblock with unknown mileage. This is really a ****ty turbo to use on such a low displacement engine. I picked this turbo up a long time ago, and just decided to stick with it, and see what it would do. I could have a much better power band with a bb GT30, 35. If my engine survives the abuse I throw at it, at this power level. That will be next. I do not recomend this setup to response junkies. But this thing really loves the top end, which is where I drive it. Either way, it's a learning curve. I remember hearing back in the day that the rb20 would fall apart at 375whp. I never trust internet knowledge. I have to try it for myself first. Then i let others know what I've learned. So far everything has worked out fine

werd.do a maptrace on the commander and see what cells you're hitting, i really am curious to see how much timing they had to drill into it for the e85.

This is great! It gives me something to look forward to over the next six months or so, especially because I'm doing a full rebuild. It is exactly this reason that I bought the RB20. I wanted it to be underestimated then make it respectable. What kind of turbo are you running here? My set-up came with a 60-1 turbo, which I'm thinking of selling and re-investing in a gt30 or something of the sort.Let us know if you beat any cars that we would like to see stomped upon. The list includes, but is not limited to, corvettes, ferraris, lambos, and more corvettes (I don't like the vette-owning type very much).

Also, was it easy to re-tune for e86? I don't even know where to get e86 around my area, so I'd have to run two maps. And what does it feel like on the butt-dyno (it's the most important dyno)?-fuse.

thanks... I could have a lot more torque if I had a 25 but I'm happy with what I have.

no it won't be. First off you have a 25. Second, you have a t3 exhaust housing. The t4 exhaust housing I have is a super super old (see poor) design. Like i've mentioned before. I do NOT recomend this setup, but it is what it is. I now know, what it, and my motor are capable of. Happy days for me

haha **** man! sorry to read about your bad luck. I didn't have that kind of luck when I took Jeong for a ride. You're just too hardcore for the RB world. You need LS6 for what you do to your car.

As more and more people start building up there rb20's we will start seeing higher and higher dyno numbers. The potential is definately there especially since complete swap replacements are pennies away. Im going to push the envelope with my 1st one than see what I can get reliable with my 2nd one. We picked up 2 complete rb20det swaps for the price of one rb25 swap. The blocks are pretty much about the same strength its the transmission that holds us back.

Add splitfire coil packs to this pic, and that is my current setup.

If only I could make a camera pod for my phone. That's the only thing I have to film with
