went to 2nd to first going to fast

i just bought a 2004 maxima 6speed and was wondering if anyone can help me... ok so i was driving and i was driving normal. i shift from 1st to 2nd just fine then i try to go into 3rd and it went into 1st.it felt like i hit a big snow bank or something i might be worrying to much but i think the transmission is making a weird noise now. any ideas? ... o ya this is my first nissan and so im new to these cars

You think it's making a weird noise? Either it's making a strange noise or it isn't. If it is, take it to a transmission shop and have them take a look.

May want to drain the fluid and take a look at it to be on the safe side.
