My son went parking in his 1991 240sx shut off every thing was fine, got ready to leave and when he turned the key to start it, nothing, and I do mean nothing happened. It will not turn over, no lights on the dash when key is turned on, nothing. It's like there's no battery on the car but hte battery test 12.56 volts with meter the cables are clean and tight. I am at a loss. Can someone point me in the right direction? I drive an older jeep and am not familar with these cars. TIA.

I would check the fuses in the fuse block and in the relay box.

And make sure both battery cables are firmly attached.

And there also might some slight corrosion affecting the area of contact between the cables and battery.

Play with the battery terminals. They won't get a good connection if they're not clean and tight.
