just as the title says, that's what happened pulled over to check the exhaust but everything looked fine. noticed a slight whistling noise but dont know if that was there before. any idea as to what happend? installed a new intake sys. recently as wel. before intake revved round 800, afterwards 900, after bump 700 or a little less.

mmm...well probably the most important part is to check over the oil pan for dents...

No one can help? I have no idea whats going on. Here's a list of what's happening:after driving around and warming the engine up there's1. a loss of power/torque (car feels slower accelerating)2. a decrease in the sound of the exhaust3. A decrease in rpms while idling (900 cold start to 700 warmed up)

I checked all the linkages in the exhast and they all seem fine, except for the one that connects to the engine block (the part of the manifold that goes to the last two cylinders is only connected by one bolt). I also recently replaced the oxygen sensor, could it be that i didnt tighten it enough? pls this is really bugging me and i just want to get my car back in good shape

throttle position sensor.

You might have smacked something on the exhaust and loosened it or something. I'd just check all the connections and make sure they are nice and tight. Can you tell where the whistling noise is coming from?

The car is supposed to idle at round 700, the intake shouldn't change the idle.

idk whats happening, all i know is that it starts of idling around 900, then warms off and gradually drops down to 700 warmed up. this isn't normal right?

When the motor is cold, the idle speed is around 1000 RPM. After it's fully warmed up, the idle speed drops down to around 700 which is normal.

at least you didnt go over one of those parking bumps where you park your car and there is a bump like 5-6ft. My car is fine though, i am amazed. These 240sx's can handle so much.
