I owned an M37S, and just wanted something with more pep. After driving another Q50 for a loaner car, I flat out decided the M37 was sluggish and no where near as fun to drive. After a few months of searching, I found my new car. Black M56xS. I put the front end aero kit on it, changed all the headlight bulbs to match at 5500K, installed (just for looks) a rear diffuser, K&N's, and did a few other simple aesthetic mods.

The 56 is great. Fun to drive, it wants to go, and nothing can sound like a V8 after driving the 3.7 liter so long. It's a great sound. This car is fun to drive. Yes, it is a softer ride than even the Q50's, it wants to roll because of it's luxury ride and Infiniti balancing this car to be smoother, etc. But it's fun-to-drive factor is much stronger than the M37.

So, I have two questions.

1 – Can I put on 275/35 R20 tires all the way around? I had gone wider on my previous M37, I think they were 255/30 R20's. But I would love to go a bit wider, I think it will look tougher and maybe even handle better?

2 - I'm sure this has been posted, and I will continue to research the forum. But what is the first mod's I should do? I am considering a CAT, and lowering springs. Would lowering the car require anything else? Or is this a bad choice before some other obvious first mods?

thanks in advance

Congrats.

Remove the intake snorkle too for more sound lol.

Can't answer 1 as I'm running 245's.

For 2, I'd get coilovers instead of lowering springs, but you shouldn't need anything for either of those mods besides made UpRev to take advantage of tuning the car to maximize the aftermarket cat. Suspension wise, as long as you don't lower more than around 2", you shouldn't need anything like camber kits, etc.

Coilovers would really help with body roll. To bad no sway bars for our cars. Unless you want to try and import some, where maybe they fit from Japan.

Some folks like to do a custom exhaust to get a more aggressive sound. The 5.6 sounds awesome with an aftermarket muffler and a Y-pipe and/or resonator delete.
