Well sir....i changed the timing belt and its perfect....timing belt lined up with marks...counted teeth...confirmed by my dad and even my mom. Put everything together well....leaks resolved, seals holding strong....but the number one cylinder, the one i took the spark plug out of to check TDC, is dead....where to start...im about to go outside and swap coil packs and spark plugs..also it sounds lifter tickish, on that side of the motor.....im sitting here pissed like a futher mucker....ive moved it out the garage(which is empty now) as punishment and im considering selling this b**** if it doesnt straighten up. Working on this b**** for 4 years ad even after a complete rebuild its still being h0m0....argghhhhh help me before i commit 300zx-acide.

coil packs is fine, swapped sparkplugs but no change..... Adjusted the CAS a little to see what happened, and the engine developed a skip on both sides of the motor along with the ECU throwing a code 21 for ignition signal circuitry. I can still take the coil connector loose from cylinder #1 and nothing changes.....after some running the valve noise has gone away just this problem.

Check the connections at the PTU, make sure all is plugged in all the way. How are the injectors? Are they new, used, used? Have you ohmed them?
