Been busy getting the turbo engine out of my s13 and dropping it into my new s14. Along with swapping it over to 5 speed, swapping over the coilovers, making new intake pipes and installing the new fmic. It's been along month.
Finally got it going today, something kinda interesting. The speedo reads way to high. I'd guess that when I'm going 40-55 it reads about 110mph.
Confusing, yes. But I looked around a bit and discovered that the previous owner ran the speed sensor wires directly to the speedo. I'd imagine he did this to kill the speed govenor, but your guess is as good as mine.
Any ideas on how to fix the inaccurate readings? If it really does kill the speed govenor, that would be sweet to just wire in a resistor or something and keep it like it is. But I don't know if I'm gonna have to rewire it to run through the ecu and just keep it how it is.
Anyone who knows what the're talking about please lend a hand.. otherwise, respectfully,.... just don't post at all. Thanks.
