Day - 1 I finally got around to cracking the valve cover on my 240 today and look what I found.....

Day - 2 Ok I am pulling the block apart now and there is no Sealent around the HG at all, it is just kind of sitting there..

So where do I start fixing this thing!

Day - 3 Ok I may have found the culprit here, The Copper Gasket where the IM meets the Block was rusted through where the coolant flows out of the block, That means that coolant was freely seeping into the intake charge on Cylinder 1. Also that would explain the rust on the Cylinder 1 intake cam.

Junk that block and head and find another one. I've seen that oil color before on a waterlogged jeep motor. All the clearances were fudged up.If you want to have a reliable motor rebuild a different one. KA blocks are extremely cheap and readily available. Good luck.

That is exactly what I am going to do, I am trashing this block, cleaning the bay repainting th whole car and starting from scratch. I have a turbo kit that needs a T28 that I am going to slap on her when I am all done with paint as well.
